“The mind plays tricks on you. You play tricks back! It’s like you’re unraveling a big cable-knit sweater that someone keeps knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting…” — Pee-Wee
About Rachel
I have recently returned to the mountains of North Carolina. I am a poet, Pushcart Prize nominee, and 2011 graduate of Georgia College & State University’s MFA program. I am looking for a teaching position where I can help foster students’ creativity and critical thinking skills.
I love scary movies and watch them while I grade. I own more movies than books. I’ve written a screenplay, but I still need to finish my campus novel. Give me a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit, and I am yours. I host Friday the 13th parties, play board games, and create pom-pom critters (along with the occasional sock monkey).
